Yusaku Iriki on MySpace

Yusaku Iriki on MySpace
Sorry for the very untopical thread, but, y'know, off-season and all that.

I'm sure many of you have MySpace accounts, but for those that don't, a quick re-cap: When you log in, MySpace throws up two or three random "cool people" for you to browse and, if you feel like it, contact. It is a random process.

Anyway, I logged in today, and one of the "cool people" that appeared was "Yusaku." Click. Turned out to be Yusaku Iriki, who says: "i am from tokyo, i am 34 years old. i used to play baseball for the Tokyo Giants and Hokkaido Nippon Ham Figthers and now i am play for the New York mets.

It's weird who you find on MySpace.

Has to be fake. I've run into plenty of fake Japanese celebs on MySpace who I happen to have connections to via a very busy friend of mine. All fake.

If that is a legit page, then his priorities are totally out of order.

Judging how he is doing in the Venezuela Winter League, his pitching, regrettably, is out of order as well. [MLB.com Article]

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.
