What Happened Between Hara and Nishi?

What Happened Between Hara and Nishi?
Toshihisa Nishi was recently traded from the Giants to the BayStars. Now, I've read on Japanese forums that Hara and Nishi don't get along, but I haven't looked at stats until now. Check this out.

From 1996-2001, under Shigeo Nagashima, Nishi played an average of 124 games per year with 485 ABs.

In 2004 and 2005, while playing for Tsuneo Horiuchi, Nishi averaged 133 games per year with 546 ABs.

Now, get this, in 2002, 2003, and 2006, under Tatsunori Hara, Nishi averaged 91 games per year with 256 ABs. That's basically ABs cut in half, making his stats look a lot more pathetic than they could possibly be. What's up with these two?

What I have heard is that Nishi is quite outspoken and not afraid to express his opinion, even if it differs from the managers. This doesn't sit well with Hara who apparently doesn't appreciate dissent.

The Japanese Wikipedia page seems to be informative. Hara demanded a different role from Nishi in 2002-'03 but he got injured both seasons (and that probably affected his rate stats as well, no matter how his relations with Hara were). Then this past season the Giants used newly acquired Kosaka and the infield was full. But what you pointed out is eerie, though.
