Nippon Ham Still Team to Beat

Nippon Ham Still Team to Beat
With Micheal signing a two year deal and Seguinol re-signing I would think that the Fighters are the team to beat in the Pacific League. Their starting rotation is now experienced and very good. With Michael closing the door, as long as they keep it to three runs or less, it is a win. Any thoughts on who can challenge them?

Softbank, Seibu, and Lotte can all easily challenge them. Remember Lotte had a good year in 2005 but slipped in 2006, same with Tigers in 2003/2004. It will be interesting to see if they can maintain their momentum.

Nippon Ham just doesn't have enough established arms to be a threat, IMO. Softbank and Lotte have the rotation and bullpen to win it all. Softbank is going to be very difficult to beat if all their players stay healthy.

I think several teams have a shot. The loss of Ogasawara is huge, Shinjo is a minor loss, and I doubt Inaba will duplicate his 2006 season. That leaves only Seguignol as a strong possibility to hit with authority.
