Uniform Colors - 1979

Uniform Colors - 1979
I'm working on the 1979 season for the Strategic Baseball Simulator and am wondering what color the uniforms were then. I imagine some of the "classic" looks like Hiroshima were similar, but have no idea about Taiyo, Hankyu, and Nankai for instance. I just need to know the primary color.

Taiyo was blue, slightly darker than Seibu, with white trim.

Hankyu was dark blue with red trim, similar to the old Atlanta Braves.

Nankai was Green with white, similar to the Oakland A's.

I will verify with pictures, I'm going by memory.

Remember that the Giants had a blueish away jersey, as did Hanshin - in fact many of the teams did back then.

Here are graphics of all 12 teams from 1979, both home and away uniforms:

Hanshin Tigers
Yomiuri Giants
Hankyu Braves

Chunichi Dragons
Hiroshima Carp
Nankai Hawks
Yakult Swallows
Taiyo Whales
Nippon Ham Fighters

I found this last post very interesting. I realize this is an old thread, but I am curious about one thing. Mijow, where did you find all these old uniforms? Is there a site which contains all uniform pictures?

Thanks for any information you can provide.

It's from a book called "The History of Uniform", which has renderings of all uniforms from the beginning of Pro Yakyu. This thread has a link to the website.
