Has the fourth and final part of Robert Whiting's great series in the Japan Times appeared yet? Hope we can read it here when it comes out.

Yeah, the piece came out a while ago. It talks about how NPB players need to have a strong union like the MLBPA.

Well folks (duh on my part), welcome Sara B to the computer age. Here's a link to Whiting-san's part 4, from the Japan Times website.

Hope this works!

I didn't see this set of articles until the other day. I enjoyed the meat of the article and the insight as to how poorly NPB has actually been run, and the comparisons to MLB.

I don't want to disrespect Whiting-san because he is one of the leading experts on the game and his voice is/will always carry a lot more weight than mine. But, did anyone else feel the articles were written in a bit of a rush? They were a little hard to read, didn't necessarily stick to the main premise of each of the 4 topics, and probably could have used a better editor or another proof-read, though that's not necessarily his fault. It all just seemed a little strange to me, when I'm used to such excellence from him.

Anyone else?
