CJ Nitkowski
Is CJ still in Japan or what? He hasn't updated his blog in a month. I also can't find any stats on his being in any games lately.

According to his player page, he was dropped to ni-gun (the farm) on May 11 "for readjustment." What that generally means is that he was performing poorly and was sent down to work out his problems. It could also mean that another foreign player was given a chance and is performing better.

I don't get that. The guy has an ERA of 1.45!

OK. My next guess is his performance on May 11:
Hawks ERA IP BF NP H HR K BBH RA ER
Nitkowski 1.80 1 9 44 1 0 1 5 2 1
But you're right. It does seem odd to drop him for a single poor performance (i.e. four walks and a hit batsman). There must be something else wrong that we're not seeing being reported. I'm in a conference today. I'll search news archives later when I have a chance.

Thanks for your concern. I am back! That bad game with the 4 walks and 1 hit batter was in mid April at Kitakyushu. My first time pitching in a local stadium and not adjusting well. I blogged it on my site cjbaseball.com and on MySpace.
