Vogelsong?

Discussion in the Open Talk forum
Vogelsong?
Anyone happen to know if Vogelsong suffered a sudden injury tonight? He pitched 2 innings at Koshien, having given up a home run after a very bad error by Kannoh, and after 2 innings he was gone. Fortunately the Tigers went on to win, but if he was taken out it's another inexplicable move by Okada. Anyone know anything I don't? I was at the game, so missed any commentary during the TV broadcast.

Vogelsong damaged his shoulder while he was on the mound. So, yes, it was a sudden injury.

Thanks for the update. I was all ready to launch another attack on Okada.

Any news on whether Vogelsong will be sidelined?

Sponichi reports that Vogelsong has an inflamed right rotator cuff (右肩腱板炎) and has been dropped to ni-gun. The minimum time at ni-gun is 10 days, but there is no estimate as to how long Vogelsong will be down on the farm or if any medical procedures will be done at this time.
