Kaz Matsui - How were his last few years?

Kaz Matsui - How were his last few years?
How were Matsui's last few years in Japan? We all know about his MVP seasons 5 or 6 years ago, but things change.

His power seems to have gone up and steals drastically down. Is his speed still the same (extra base hits and infield-singles), and has his defense stayed just as stellar, or is this a player living on his reputation?

I'd like to hear some responses from actual viewers of Japanese baseball. Thanks.

Bob, you are implying that something is amiss with the most popular NPB player in 2003 who actually played in Japan. No wonder you got the silent treatment. Do you quibble about Bonds' or Sosa's production?

His last few years were good enough for Mets fans to be legitimately excited about having this player. He is the real deal.
