This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.
It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.

I found this site while looking for more info on Japanese baseball in a language I can comprehend. I have read "You Gotta Have Wa" and have been waiting for the "sequel" (of sorts) ever since I flipped its last page. Well it looks like the prayers are answered. Whiting's new book is called "The Meaning of Ichiro: New Wave from Japan and the Transformation of Our National Pastime," and is supposed to deal with contemporary Japanase baseball and its influence on the U.S. ball.
I'm sorry if someone beat me to this. Probably yes, but another refreshing can't harm, eh.
Greets to all.
