General Info - Yakult Swallows
Hello everyone,

I know this is covered a bit on the FAQ but was hoping I could get some advice. I'm going to be in Tokyo for the final weekend of the season and was hoping to catch a Swallows game.

Anyone out there have any advice on the ballpark (where to sit, best way to get tickets, etc.) that they'd like to share? Thanks in advance!

If you mean the weekend of the 22nd/23rd, the Swallows are playing the Tigers and this makes things slightly difficult. Your best bet would be to sit in the Swallows' side. The liveliest part is the gaiya (outfield bleachers) where the cheering clubs sit. It also has some good food and drink.

Recently Tigers fans have invaded both sides, so it is difficult to find places to sit as the clubs reserve blocks from which they exclude non members. A safer option would be the more expensive infield seats. Here you should have no problems in finding seats, though you will come across a lot of Tigers fans here as well.

Tickets can be bought at the ground on the day or in advance. Convenience stores (via a ticket shop) or a ticket shop like ticket Pia will sell tickets. You will need to understand Japanese, though, to use the automatic machines.

Thanks, Christopher. I'll check those places out.

Another good place to check would be Bavasi's JapanBall site.

I've never used their service but I can't imagine it being anything other than safe and trustworthy.
