Advice for People New to Yakyu
Does anyone have advice for a newbie who wants to really get into Japanese baseball? It's a shame that there is hardly any U.S. press for it. I am really interested.

Well, read the FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions for starters. Then read the books reviewed here, and go through some of the most recently updated links.

After those, go through the sections one by one, maybe in reverse chronological order, and you'll get a good idea of recent Japanese baseball history.

The information you want is all here. It's just a matter of time and self motivation to go through it all.

Enjoy.
About

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.

It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.
