Is It Possible To Buy Tickets to the Tigers Game?

Is It Possible To Buy Tickets to the Tigers Game?
Hello. I am a huge baseball fan from New York City. I am in Kyoto and have heard that the Hanshin Tigers are playing in the Climax Series tomorrow (October 13th) and on Sunday.

Are these home games in Osaka? Is it possible for me to go to a game? I honestly will pay anything to go - I want to experience a post season game!

Thank you very much!

Sorry, all games are in Nagoya for Stage 1 and Tokyo Dome for Stage 2. I can't confirm, but I assume they are all sold out, as this is the playoffs, er, Climax Series. If you do find a ticket connection, Nagoya is less than an hour from Kyoto by Shinkansen.

My guess is that if you absolutely must go, you could try going to the Nagoya Dome early and looking for scalpers. They'll probably be around in some capacity. But be prepared to pay a lot. I have no idea what the post-season inflation is like, but during the season I came down for what turned out to be a sold-out Dragons game, and ended up having to pay 4,000 yen for what's normally a 1,500 yen ticket.

I paid 12,500 for Japan Series tickets last year. The scalpers started off asking 40,000. Waited until 10 minutes before the game (game 2) to get the price down but couldn't hold out any longer.

Fortunately, got tickets the correct way for yesterday's game, what a great start to the post-season. The talk was all about Hanshin's (lack of) starting pitching, and that proved to be the case. Starting Shimoyanagi in game 1 makes you wonder who can go in games 2 and 3 (Uezono and Vogelsong?). Masahiko "Mr Suri-Run" Morino came up with the goods again, and England is into the RWC Final. What a great day!
