Orix brought in Jermaine Russell Van Buren (Pitcher) for a tryout. Anyone know about him?

Drafted by the Rockies in the second round in 1998.

Looks like he struggled in the minors. Got a late call up with Boston in '06 and got absolutely hammered.

Doesn't say what he's been doing the last 2 seasons, but seems like your typical gas can.

Still fairly young, though. Really seems like a last chance type deal perhaps, if picked up.

Last season he went to camp with the Nats and opened the year in AAA Columbus before ending up with AAA Sacramento in the Oakland organization. Didn't do so well with the Clippers, but settled down a bit in Sacramento.

Is Orix going to sign Van Buren?

Is Jermaine Van Buren still in Japan?
