Seibu the Champs?
Hey. Just me here. I've got one question and I want your opinion. Will Seibu win the title this year? Thank you.

I think they have the firepower to win the PL, but if Hanshin wins the CL, it's going to be very difficult to win the Japan Series. The Tigers' bullpen has JFK + Watanabe who have all been effective to absolute shutdown. And Seibu's been done in by this bullpen so far in every one of their games this season.

I also think Hanshin is balanced all around (well above average). They are the team to beat at this point of the season. Seibu has the firepower, but can they match the Tigers' pitching?

With my BayStars way out of it (they were never actually in it); it would be beautiful to watch a Nippon Series that involves two teams "clicking" on all cylinders like Seibu and Hanshin.

They are the two teams I would like to see in the Series. Plus, Tigers vs. Lions; who is the true "king of the jungle"? You cannot top that, really you can't.

Seibu has cooled off in inter-league play, although they finally beat the Tigers tonight. They have surprised everyone this year, so I can't say yet how far they will go. Even if they win the division, the Fighters could have the advantage in the Climax Series with their pitching and experience.

True. But with a inter-league win% above .500, they are not that cold. Look at Yokohama. And the Fighters are not that much better in this years inter-league.

Yeah, they are still over .500, but the Fighters have made up a fair bit of ground. I would love to see a Tigers vs. Lions match-up, as I think that would be good karma for my Tigers to finally recapture the crown, considering it's a rematch of the Tigers' last Nihon Series victory.

Yea. If Hanshin wins, then hide Colonel Sanders. Otherwise, it's another 23 years of "Red Sox" like doom and gloom.
