This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.
It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.

The solution? Anybody remember Jason Standridge and Nagisa Arakaki? Didn't think so. Personally, I think it's a good idea, and it's better than possibly mentally wrecking some of the youngsters they're developing at ni-gun. The worst that will happen is that they get shelled and the Hawks lose a couple games. It's better than trotting out Yan Yao-Shun and have him only get through 1/3 of an inning like the other day, putting a strain on the bullpen.
Think about it. Since he struck out 16 Marines that day in April, Ohba has had trouble getting out of the 5th inning. He probably won't be back with the top club unless they desperately need him. I think Hideaki Takahashi, who has done yeoman's work, would be better suited to having a defined role in the pitching staff. Powell needs to be banished to ni-gun for a good long time, at least until his head is on straight and he's healthy, because I don't think he is.
So, that's my solution. Not the prettiest fix, but I think it's worth a try.
