I actually made the trip from the sticks in Saitama after work to see this game with Miura pitching and all (made it to the stadium by start time, too). I just want to know WHY we have this problem with winning at the Tokyo Dome. Westbay, has it always been like this, where we play poorly at the Dome, or is it just something that's started to happen in recent years? I've only seen them win one time there, and that was last year's final game for the Giants in which Murata hit a (3 run?) home run in the bottom of the eighth to help us win it. Other than that, nothing good ever comes from playing at the Dome.

Hmm. Let's take a look at the last two year:

| 2007-07-24 | YOK 8-4 YOM |
| 2007-07-25 | YOK 7-13 YOM |
| 2007-07-26 | YOK 2-4 YOM |
| 2007-09-21 | YOK 1-5 YOM |
| 2007-09-22 | YOK 1-7 YOM |
| 2007-09-23 | YOK 2-3 YOM |

| 2008-04-23 | YOK 2-6 YOM |
| 2008-04-24 | YOK 2-6 YOM |

+------------+--------------+
It looks to me like we've only won two games at Tokyo Dome over the past two years, both of them in 2007.

Now that you mention it, I really can't remember doing well at Tokyo Dome ever. The BayStars tend to suffer from ippatsu-byo, and Tokyo Dome seems to really cause the illness to get worse. Just look at this evening's first inning (3 home runs in a row given up by Williams to turn a 1-0 lead in the top of the first to a 1-4 deficit in the bottom half).

That's some ugly data listed above. I don't want to look at it any longer. Make it go away!

Well Westbay, you can add one more to the list. I'm really starting to believe that there is a conspiracy with the umpires at Giants home games as way too many close calls were made at Wednesday's game. That or the Tokyo Dome is truly the BayStars' "Kryptonite," so to speak, and it does something to their physical conditions. Either way, they need to step it up at the Tokyo Dome.
