Licensing question

Discussion in the Ask the Commish forum
Licensing question
Is Japanese Professional Baseball similar to MLB in terms of needing to become a licensee before making products bearing JPB team marks? If so, can you provide the contact information? Thank you.

My understanding was that one needed permission separately from each of the teams to create licenced products. That was what I had heard several years ago, anyway. Then general concensus from those who had tried to make something as simple as a T-shirt has been that the hastle wasn't worth it. Perhaps that's why none of the teams sell official T-shirts at the local department store.

You may want to ask The YakyuShop to see that they've done to sell merchandise.
