Discussion in the Ask the Commish forum
VCR Videotapes (English)?
Does anybody have any VCR videotapes, in English, of Japanese baseball games? I am willing to purchase, in US funds.

I actually wouldn't mind VHS tapes, but would prefer a DVD. Great question. I would be interested as well and would be paying in US funds. Thanks.

I don't think you're going to get any VCRs or DVDs in English; there are no English commentaries of NPB games.

- there are no English commentaries of NPB games.

This is true, with the only exeption being the occasional Japan Series Game. I remember watching one of the Yomiuri vs. Seibu games from the 2003 Series, and it did have English commentary on the subchannel - I think Wayne Graczyk was one of the commentators.

That said, it was the only time I've ever heard English commentary on TV for NPB. So the chances of finding someone who recorded one of those rare games may be pretty remote I would think.
