Chiba Marine Stadium?

Discussion in the Ask the Commish forum
Chiba Marine Stadium?
I have never been to a baseball game. What are the best seats in a stadium? Behind homeplate? I might take in a Marines' game in July, what are the best seats in their stadium? (Price is not really an issue.)

- What are the best seats in a stadium?

That depends on how you want to experience the game.

If you are going with someone and want to be able to hold a conversation during the game, behind home plate would probably be best. Also up the lines. Just past the first base dugout is where a lot of the players throw baseballs when they come out at the start of the game.

If you're going by yourself and want to be part of something larger than the sum of its parts, do the right field general admission seats. Some of the best, most knowledgable fans in Pro Yakyu are out there, ready to share their knowledge and enthusiasm with anyone willing to listen.

Note, this is not exclusive to Chiba Marine Stadium. The oen-dan (cheering section) of all teams are situated in the outfield of the home team's side of the stadium (right field for all teams except Rakuten). And you won't find a more enthusiastic group to sit with than the home team's oen-dan.
