Foreigner Rule?

Discussion in the Ask the Commish forum
Foreigner Rule?
I thought that the foreigner rule was two players. However, I noticed that Softbank often play 3 (Batista, Zuleta, Cabrera), and sometimes they pitch Feliciano as well. I don't watch the Pacific League much, so I wan't sure if the rules were different or if I was told the wrong thing. Could you please clear it up for me? Cheers.

The two player limit was expanded close to 10 years ago.

Please see the FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) about foreign player limits, and the Baseball Agreement, Provision 82-2 (Number of Foreign Players). (I could use some help with the Baseball Agreement translation.)

Hope this helps.
