Ernie Young?

Discussion in the Ask the Commish forum
Ernie Young?
36-year old OF Ernie Young recently participated in the AAA All-Star Game. That name sounds familiar. Didn't he play for the U.S. in the 2000 Olympics and then play for the BayStars in 2001?

Yes, Young played for the Baystars. Young batted .173(19-110)with 8 HR and 16RBI in 2002 however with the Baystars.

Young's experience has took him everywhere, from a 19 HR season in 1996 with the A's, to the 2000 USA Olympic Team, to Japan with the Baystars, to AAA Buffalo, to a cup off coffee with the Indians last year, to back with Buffalo.

Thank you for the info. I knew that name sounded familiar. What a career he's had. It'd be nice to see him back in the big leagues soon.
