Thanks!"

Well, while still producing more than most Dragons last year with 25 home rurns and 79 RBIs, he was let go in favor of a couple of new foreign players. Ozzie Timmons (left fielder) has been about as much a defensive liability as Gomez was, and since Korean shortstop turned outfielder Lee is in the every day lineup, new infielder Tim Unroe hasn't gotten much of a chance to play.

As for where he's gone, perhaps somebody out there knows? Feel free to click "Reply" and let us know.

I'm starting to really think that a "Where have they gone?" corner for keeping up with former JPB players is necessary.

I heard or read that Gomez was going to be getting a shot with the Pittsburgh Pirates in spring training, but he must not have made the team as he is not listed on their current roster.

The 4/14 JAPAN TIMES confirmed that Gomez worked out with the Pirates this spring and did not make the team. It also stated that Gomez is considering returning to the Dragons. Hopefully he will!
