Banned Players?
Who has been banned from the Japanese leagues and why? I heard something about the Black Mist Scandal and other problems.

Four players were banned for life including Lions' pitchers Masayuki Nagayasu, Masaaki Ikenaga, Akio Masuda, and Yoshinobu Yada who were all suspended for life. Two players were suspended for six months: Lions' infielder Kazuhide Funada and catcher Kimiyasu Wada(?).

It involved the fixing of regular season Japanese baseball games in 1969.

Hiroki Kokubo wasn't banned, but was suspended for most of the 1998 season due to tax evasion.
