Ohtsuka Shot Down in Flames

Discussion in the Ask the Commish forum
Ohtsuka Shot Down in Flames
Jim Albright showed very accurate insight in this thread (JA's posting made at 5:42am, Oct. 14, JST). The Daily Yomiuri reports that by the cut off time for applications, Kintetsu's Ohtsuka had not received a single offer from the MLB through the posting system.

He was reported as saying he was "shocked", and that he didn't want to think about it at all right now.

That's gotta kill your confidence.
About

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.

It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.
