Discussion in the Ask the Commish forum
DJ Carrasco?
Hi,

I am just trying to find out about a friend of mine, his name is Daniel Carrasco. He is on the Fukuoka Softbank Hawks. Do you have any info for me? I need as much info as I can get.

Thanks.

There was a Hector Carrasco who played for Kintetsu a couple of years ago.

If he's one of the new foreign players this year, I have nothing on him.

Sorry I can't be of more help.

DJ Carrasco is supposed to be the new closer, but things can change. He could become either a starter or long relief. It all depends on what kind of stuff he has and if he fools Japanese batters. The Hawks have a bunch of guys they could use as closers, but none of them have the intimidation factor that a closer should have.

Hi,

Yes, I am reading these comments and just going over them. I was wondering if I can get any information on Daniel Jr. Carrasco, also. I am related to him and sometimes it is hard for us in the United States to get any information on him. That would help us a lot down here!

Thanks,
Danielle

DJ had a rough Spring, and got touched up a little bit in the beginning of the season. He got demoted to the minors, and was to be called back up to the Hawks this week.

Where did you hear that Carrasco would be called back up to the Hawks? Also, do you know how he did on the farm team? I have friends who are Royals fans and they want updates on Carrasco. Thank you in advance.

Carrasco's been pitching really well with the farm team. He's 2-1 with a 1.42 ERA in 3 games.

Thanks for the info. It's good that he's doing well down on the farm team. After all, this is a guy who was in the starting rotation of a MLB team, albeit the worst team in MLB, all season long just a year ago.

Mr. Keeffe, are you still trying to find DJ?

Sorry, but it is amusing that these friends or relatives can't keep track or maintain a connection with the players. We should be getting info from these friends/relatives!
