2003 Coaches

Discussion in the Ask the Commish forum
2003 Coaches
Where can I find information, about who are the various coaches within the Central & Pacific Leagues?

For example, I found out that former Yomiuri Giants' pitching ace Masaki Saito is going to be their pitching coach for the 2003 season.

Thank you,

It looks like the teams are finally starting to get their Player Maikan for 2003 in order. I assume you can read Japanese? If not, I doubt that there is such a list in English. I'll try to add coaches to my Player Meikan one of these years, but entering playing data has a higher priority right now.

Nonetheless, here are the staffs for the teams directly from their respective official sites (all in Japanese).

- Yomiuri Giants - expected on or around opening day
- Yakult Swallows
- Chunichi Dragons - expected after season stars
- Hanshin Tigers
- Hiroshima Carp
- Yokohama BayStars - select one by one

- Seibu Lions - HTTP 404 File not found error
- Osaka Buffaloes - third table down
- Fukuoka Daiei Hawks - players only - no staff
- Chiba Lotte Marines
- Nippon Ham Fighters - under construction
- Orix BlueWave - undergoing maintenance

The Giants' and Dragons' player meikan appear to be directly tied to their player data systems which won't start until the beginning of the season. There was no indication of when the Fighters or BlueWave will be up.

Hope this helps.
