American Influences on Japanese Baseball?
I have a question about my report. Can you tell me every way that American baseball influences Japanese baseball?

First of all, did you read the FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) about writing reports?

Secondly, how many of these books have you read? Specifically, how many of them were written by Robert Whiting? For this kind of historical research, I would strongly recommend Robert Whiting's "You Gotta Have Wa," Vintage Books, ISBN 0-679-72947-X. Robert Fitts' Remembering Japanese Baseball also has some insights into influencial players from North America.

After doing this preliminary research, feel free to come back with more specific questions.
About

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.

It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.
