I was wondering. How many stadiums use astro turf? I have noticed the astro turf in Tokyo Dome being a little different than before.

I think it's easier to ask how many stadiums don't have an artificial surface? I believe that Koshien and Green Stadium Kobe (renamed to Yahoo! BB Stadium this year) are the only two with real grass.
There was some talk about transforming Chiba Marine Stadium to real grass, but they put in a new artificial surface, too. I don't know if it was FieldTurf or not, which is what they put into Tokyo Dome last season (to answer your second question) and Yokohama Stadium this past off season.
