Do you have a link for this rumor? It's surprising, considering Duncan performed pretty poorly while here, if memory serves me correctly.

Mariano Duncan is the first base coach for the Dodgers.

There's mention of it in the "Flash" currently at the top of Japan Baseball Daily.

Today's (September 28, 2006) Nikkan Sports proclaims the headline that Nakamura-kantoku has been fired and that former Angels' manager Terry Collins is the top person in line for the job.

At the end of the article, they also mention that former Swallow and Buffaloe Charlie Manuel (1967-1981; .303, 189 HRs, 491 RBIs) is also on the list.

There was no mention of Duncan.
