This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.
It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.

I was reading the forums while browsing the forum to find more information about Japanese Baseball when I stumble upon a sentence that sort of surprise me. From what I've read here, Baseball was introduced in Japan in the 1880's (in fact I've read that certain players even participated in WW2).
But on this web site [James Logan High School], the guy wrote: "The Japanese learned American baseball during occupation by the American troops after the end of the Second World War."
Seing how much information your site has, I'm sure that your site is more accurate than that one, but this brought a few questions to my mind.
Thanks
Nick
