Tokyo Dome Seating

Tokyo Dome Seating
I am due to go my first ever baseball game in September while on holiday in Tokyo. The match is between the Nippon Ham Fighters and Seibu Lions at Tokyo Dome.

Being a complete novice, can anyone offer advice as to where the best place is to sit to get a good view of the game? (Obviously the cheaper the seat the better!)

Nippon Ham games are pretty easy to get tickets for, and you'll pretty much be able to chose from anywhere. If you get there early, the outfield "bleachers" might still be available, but I'd recommend getting a reserved seat.

Tokyo Dome, while a multi-purpose stadium, was really made for baseball. Therefore, pretty much all the seats give you a good view of the batter. The advantage of the upper deck is that you can see over the protective screen, but the disadvantage is that the fielders really seem far away. Personally, I like sitting just behind the first or third base dugout, a few rows in. If you're in the first row, people (vendors and smokers going for a smoke) walk by in front of you all game long, so about 5 rows back is usually good to see over the wonderers.

One place I haven't sat, but thought would be neat, is the upper deck section hanging off the back wall just in fair territory. With Cabrera's power, there's a chance of catching a rebound off the wall from the hang-off in left.

Hope you enjoy the game.
