Japanese Baseball Mound?

Discussion in the Ask the Commish forum
Japanese Baseball Mound?
American Major League Baseball has a mound that stands 10 inches above the level of home plate. Is the mound in Japanese baseball raised? If so what are the regulations and how high it stands?

Yes, the mound is raised. While I don't know exactly how high, it's safe to assume that it's the same as in MLB, as the rule book for NPB is bases off of the MLB rule book.

The only issue with the mound that I've ever heard of is about the mound density [CJ's blog].
