In the event that a player who declares free agency enters into contract negotiations with a team, the provisions of Article 92 (maximum reduction of players' remuneration) shall not prejudice the right to reduce the amount of such player's remuneration by more than 25% of the amount of his previous year's remuneration for services.

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.

I am looking for the specific free agency clause currently in the NPB agreement and related information to service time. I am doing some research and projections relating to possible NPB-MLB movement and just want to be on the right page here. I realize that free agency occurs after 9 years, but the specific dates certainly relate to service time and its definition.
Any help here would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
