This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.
It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.

How could I determine the names (in kana) for people who never reached ichi-gun. There was a book (I do not recall its name) covering all of the drafted players, and if I remember correctly, the Pro Yakyu Name Encyclopedia only covers only ichi-gun. Would the only option be to use yearly guidebooks or team-by-team meikans, if they exist?
Also, does anyone know anything about the early East-West all star games (職業野球東西対抗戦) held in the 1930s and 1940s? There is a little information about it at wikipedia and at Genmatsu's Tigers site, but that is about it online.
Thanks for your time.
