Historical Books on NPB

Discussion in the Ask the Commish forum
Historical Books on NPB
Having read "Meaning of Ichiro," I was wondering how worthwhile it would be to seek out either "You Gotta Have Wa" or "The Chrysanthemum and the Bat." I already know about some repetition between MoI and Wa, but what would be a good book to read next to learn more about NPB, especially historically speaking?

Thanks for your help!
