2008 Baseball Schedule - Tokyo Fixtures

Discussion in the Ask the Commish forum
2008 Baseball Schedule - Tokyo Fixtures
My family and I will be in Tokyo for the start of the new 2008 baseball season (we arrive late March and will be in Japan for 3 weeks). I'm currently trying to get to grips with my proposed itinerary and knowing on which days and where the various baseball games will be will be a big help with my planning. Can anyone help?

BTW, I have checked the forum FAQ and searched the forums but can't see any similar posts. Apologies however if I've missed something.

Vernon Jenner, UK.

Sorry, but the 2008 schedules have not been released yet. When they are, I'll start entering them and have them up. They tend to be finalized and announced in November.

You can keep checking back before then to see if the powers-that-be decide to create the schedule early this year.

Thanks for the quick reply; very much appreciated.

No problem, I thought I was being a little optimistic expecting them to be released so soon. Anyhow, November isn't that far away!

My next dilemma of course will be where to go, Meiji Jingu Stadium or Tokyo Dome; as a day/night out I'm not sure if one is better than the other when traveling with a 5 year old boy.

I'll keep an eye out for the schedule.

Thanks again.

You have probably also heard that it's pretty certain that the Red Sox and A's will be opening their season at Tokyo Dome. So, you might also be able to catch some MLB while here. I'm not sure if it's planned, but I think sometimes they schedule an exhibition game between the Giants and a MLB team.

Yeah, I read about that. So many possibilities; perhaps I need to extend my holiday!
