Bob Stein?

Bob Stein?
I met a guy recently named Bob Stein who said he was an American baseball player who played in Japan. He's about 50 or so, so this would most likely have been like 20 years ago. Anyone here heard of a Bob Stein?

Carlos Bauer's book on Japan claims to list every North American who played in the top league in Japan, and has no Bill Stein. He may have been in the minor league there or college, but otherewise, no.
