Riggs in 2008?

Discussion in the Ask the Commish forum
Riggs in 2008?
I saw that Adam Riggs (Swallows) was injured for most of last season, but there is no news on his rehab. Is he going to play for the team this year?

I haven't seen anything that says the Swallows have given up on him for 2008. So, unless Riggs is released before Opening Day 2008, I can't see why he wouldn't be there to play out the final year of his two year contract.

Well, getting mentioned on the Mitchell Report could be a reason why.

Yeah, but of course I didn't know that when I posted it. I agree, Riggs, Jeff Williams, Larry Bigbie, and Alex Cabrera could now be released or could hurt their prospective chances of being signed by NPB teams after the Mitchell Report was released.
