Chick Magnets?
Other than Shinjo and Yu Darvish, what other NPB players have been known for driving female fans crazy in Japan?

Recently Toritani (Tigers), and Nioka (Giants). You could write a book on players' indiscretions.

Err... what?

Offhand, you'd be best off opening an issue of Pro Yakyu Ai and looking at their "top 50 cool guys" list in the back. But even just glancing at the covers will give you a good idea of who the recent heartthrobs are: Hayato Sakamoto, Munenori Kawasaki, Norichika Aoki, Tsuyoshi Nishioka, Masahiro Tanaka. Aoki and Munerin and Nishioka have been the "big 3" for a while.

Also way up there are guys like Yuki Karakawa, Hiroyuki Nakajima, Saburo Ohmura, Hideaki Wakui, Tsuyoshi Wada, Nobuhiro Matsuda (no, really), Takuya Asao, Yuichi Honda, Yasuyuki Kataoka, Kensuke Tanaka... tons of comments about all of them like "what a great smile", "SO cute", etc, etc.

And in older players, some guys who seem to be super-popular with female fans are Atsunori Inaba, Daisuke Miura, Tomoaki Kanemoto (well he's popular with EVERYONE), Kazuyoshi Tatsunami, and before he retired, Atsuya Furuta, of course.

For whatever reason, Masahiro Araki is super-popular with Dragons female fans, going on the sheer number of women I've seen wearing Araki jerseys and the amount of pink Araki jerseys I see. I think it's because of his personality, he is very outgoing and smiles a lot.

Offhand, I actually almost would guess that of Fighters female fans, more of them are Kensuke Tanaka fans than Darvish fans. I would say that Darvish has more female fans overall in Japan, but that counts non-Fighters fans, and non-baseball fans who just think he's good-looking.

And I'd be really surprised if Shunichi Nemoto doesn't start stealing away part of Nishioka's huge female fanbase among Chiba fans, by the end of this season.

Note, this is all off the top of my head for the most part, and I realize I've barely mentioned any Tigers or Giants players, mostly because I know I'm not in touch with those fanbases. I mean, I think Sekimoto is the cutest of the Tigers, but I've gotten the impression offhand that Akahoshi is most popular with female Tigers fans.
