Koshien Lag

Discussion in the Ask the Commish forum
Koshien Lag
So, today is the finals of the Koshien high school tournament. However, the Tigers don't play at Koshien again until the 26th. I could be wrong, but I think there's a similar gap every year. Does anyone know why it takes so long before the Tigers can "move back in" to Koshien? It's not like they are playing a different sport there!

They provide a buffer for rain outs. There has only been one rain out this year, the games pushed to the next day keeping everything on schedule. So few rain outs is very unusual.

Do they do anything about the grass? All those games must really wear down the outfield grass.
