Chumon Dori?

Discussion in the Ask the Commish forum
Chumon Dori?
I wanted to ask about a Japanese expression I heard at a game this year. Darvish was pitching, and whenever the other team hit what looked to be a double play ball, a lone Fighters supporter would scream "Chumon-doori!" Since "chumon" means "order" and "doori" is roughly "follow/as in," I assumed he was saying something like "that's just what we need" or "that's just what Darvish planned." Would that be correct? Or, in MLB terms, something like a "routine" or "tailor-made" double play.

I would tend to go with the expression, "executed as planned" or "right where he wanted it." ALC has it as, "as per order."

As an aside, PLNara - aka Patrick - at NPB Tracker recently mentioned ALC while blogging in Japanese as a useful study tool. I'll attest to that as I've been using ALC for years now to help translate some of the ailments ball players have come down with that aren't in normal J/E dictionaries. They added a flag to show/hide よみがな in the last year, but that only works while going from English to Japanese - while I usually need it the other way around. Maybe that feature will be coming soon.
