Akinobu Okada

Akinobu Okada
Can Okada change the fortunes of the Buffaloes? Or is this just another managerial change Orix seems to do every year. In my humble opinion Okada was a good choice. He has a proven regular season winning record and he knows the players. Yes, he did have the collapse and he did get blown out against Lotte in the series, but I think Orix would be happy if he at least got them over .500.

Good choice by Orix, but maybe even better is the fact they finally fired Katsuhiro Nakamura (GM) and Yoshinori Matsuoka (team President). These guys were clowns. If they fired a few more in the front office things would really look brighter. Adding Okada and subtracting Nakamura and Matsuoka is huge. Things should get better in the future.
