I was more wanting their lifetime position, not just the last year. I'm trying to get some kind of correlation between US players and Japanese players (such as, Oh was the "Babe Ruth" of Japanese players).

Unfortunately, I still don't think that this is the information you're looking for. For example, Etoh and Kokubo were primarily third basemen in their heyday, as were Nakamura and Ogasawara, both getting more first base duty in recent years. Tuffy had primarily been a left fielder before getting DH duty during his final years. I think that Yamasaki was mostly a left fielder and part time first baseman in his younger years, but am not 100% certain.

Just adding to the post, Matsunaka's primarily a first baseman.

Yamazaki was a left-fielder for his first half of the career, and then moved to first base/DH.
