Interleague games

Interleague games
It seems to me that every year the Pacific League wins a majority of the interleague games. Has there ever been a year in which the Central League teams won more games? Is the Pacific League just stronger?!?

On a related note: Which league won more Japan Series titles over the years?

Jim Allen has been talking about this very topic on the Japan Baseball Weekly Podcast for the past few weeks now, and has a rundown of why the CL is "simply inferior to the PL" on his blog.

Maybe the Tigers, for example, should worry more about the "koryu-sen rodo" than the traditional "shinu rodo," as they have recently really struggled during inter league play. They looked like they might actually finish with the best record this year, but then somehow got outscored by Orix by about 20 runs as they got swept in the final series. They did, however, manage to tie Softbank for the best inter league record several years back, but then lost on a bizarre tie breaker.
