Is Chang Chi-chia Injured?
Hi, I am a big fan of Chinese baseball players playing in Japan. I was wondering what Chang Chi-chia is up to. He hasn't started a game yet. Is he hurt?

According to this March 12, 2005 Sports Hochi article [in Japanese], Chang was dropped to be dropped to ni-gun the following day with pain in his right shoulder. It's been almost a month since then, but I haven't found any follow ups to that.

As part of this search, I did come across this disabled list page [in Japanese] which I've bookmarked and will make more use of in the future. The only new information it adds is that Chang was going to miss the Chairity Dream Game on March 14 which he was slated to play in.

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.

It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.
