Recently, Saipan had three baseball teams come from Korea for spring training. They helped pay for field improvements, stayed in hotels, purchased food, rented cars, etc. and there is no doubt that it was a positive contribution to CNMI coffers. How much? I have no idea. And I don't know if anyone here knows exactly how much either.

When the Japanese professional team Kintetsu Buffaloes made Saipan their spring training home, hundreds of people came with them, bringing money in at no cost to the CNMI. That was a positive contribution to the local economy.
