The Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters and manager Trey Hillman are in an enviable position: having to cope with success.

For the first time since legendary manager Shigeru Mizuhara won it all in 1962 for the Toei Flyers--the Fighters' predecessors--the franchise is Japan's defending champion.
