THE DARLINGS OF OSAKA go into the 2007 campaign without their best pitcher over the last few years. While three-time CL strikeout king Kei Igawa tries to make a name for himself on the other side of the pond with the Yankees, Hanshin skipper Akinobu Okada will be relying on righties Shinobu Fukuhara (12-5, 119 Ks, 2.09 ERA in 2006) and Yuya Ando (10-3, 103 Ks) as well as scruffy veteran left-hander Tsuyoshi Shimoyanagi (12-11).
