As the Seattle Mariners outfielder Ichiro Suzuki prepares to break one of baseball's most durable records - George Sisler's 257 hits in a season, set in 1920 - Americans may ask how this achievement is being viewed in his native Japan.

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world.
