This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.
It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.

The game between the Kansas City Royals and the Red Sox, who invested more than $103 million in Matsuzaka, will be televised live in Japan beginning shortly after 3 a.m.
But as Japan's professional baseball season begins this week, none of the opening games will attract half as much media. The 12 teams in the top two leagues will have big crowds, even sellouts, then settle in for another season of wondering what effect losing more stars to the USA will have on their product.
